MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) - The beauty pageant Miss Supranational 2013 is going to become the most grandiose show held in Belarus in recent years, with technical equipment from Russia, Ukraine and Poland to be used. The statement was made by First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the ONT TV Channel Sergei Khomich on 19 August, BelTA has learnt.
“The ONT TV Channel has ventured a large-scale show. It will not be an exaggeration to say that this will be a brand new thing, something the TV channel and the country have not done before. We are going to use new equipment and try a new approach to decorations. This is worth seeing,” Sergei Khomich noted.
The guests of the show will see an entertaining and beautiful spectacle. The team of directors is working to prepare an elegant and expensive show with the use of cutting-edge technologies. Additional equipment will be delivered from Russia, Ukraine and Poland. The show is going to become the most sophisticated and technologically advanced event compared to other similar events held in Belarus in recent years.
A big team of stylists, choreographers, photographers and directors will work to make the grandiose plans a reality. Representatives of the World Beauty Association (WBA) from Poland will share their experience, too.
The chief choreographer will be Olga Shamrova, a teacher at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. The show will be co-directed by head of the special projects directorate at the ONT TV Channel Anzhelina Mikulskaya.
According to the tradition, the jury of the contest will comprise representatives of different countries. It will include Yekaterina Buraya, the winner of the Miss Supranational 2012 contest, Carsten Mohr, the Chief Advisor to WBA’s President, a representative of the ONT TV Channel, famous artists and sportsmen.
The final of the beauty contest Miss Supranational 2013 will take place on 6 September. Belarus will be represented by Veronika Chachina, 17, from Gomel.
